Never stop talking

Many people — especially those with my background — are afraid of psychiatrists or psychotherapists. They either can’t bring themselves to open up at all, or they start talking and quickly realize there’s no real connection, no mutual understanding. And to be honest, that disconnect often comes down to an intelligence gap. The less intellectually capable your therapist, and the more gifted you are, the harder genuine therapy becomes — because the conversation turns shallow and obvious almost immediately.

The solution?

Never stop talking. Ask for a referral, switch doctors, keep moving. Don’t settle for someone who can’t meet you where you are intellectually — keep searching until you find a person who genuinely can. The right therapist exists. But never go silent in the meantime. Never give up.
