A Trinity of Vices

In the film Rebecca, Maxim de Winter declared that a wife must possess three virtues: lineage, intelligence, and beauty. So too the modern American politician must possess three indispensable qualities: demagoguery, narcissism, and shamelessness.
The entire political elite of the United States — the President and his cabinet, senators and representatives, Supreme Court justices and prosecutors — is the high society of shamelessness, hypocrisy, greed, sociopathy, and absolute contempt for the interests of ordinary Americans.
